I want to introduce you to someone who has encouraged my heart for such a time as this. Our family has fallen in love with she and her family through praying for them. You see, her husband was captured unjustly while working on an orphanage in Iran. He was brutally thrown in prison and has been there for several years. Why you ask? Why? Because this man loves Jesus. Jesus came into his life and changed him, Made him a new creation! He loves his Jesus so much that he has to tell people about Him, His King, and Redeemer. As a result of the persectuion for his faith, this sweet mother of two is left without her husband and her children’s father. My 8-year old suggested we get on a plane and go get him out!
A few weeks before Charlie was born Savannah and I were getting out all the newborn clothing and blankets for him. We were having a sweet time folding tiny little baby things in anticipation of our sweet Charlie. While doing this we listened to this program about the family:
Please take the time to listen to this. It is a beautiful story. I didn’t realize that this was one of the many things the Lord gave me in preparation for Charlie and our journey with him. I thought we were preparing for him by getting out baby clothes (which we have not used yet!) but actually God was ministering to our hearts in preparation for him! He used this program and years of watching this family stand firm in their faith, lay their lives down for the Truth, share the love of Christ at every opportunity, seek to glorify God and not themselves, and endure a painful road for Jesus’ sake to prepare us for today. Thank you dear brother and dear sister for your faithfulness to the Lord! Charlie thanks you for helping give his mom a bit of courage for the road we are now on, and for being faithful in suffering.
Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Please pray for this precious family, the release of their dad/husband, and for God to use this for HIS glory…
