As with a shield

At each and every turn of this it is proven that I have more growing to do.  More trusting in God, more walking by faith, more learning to surrender my plans, more…. I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father loves me enough to grow me, change me…

2 Corinthians 4:8-9  We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

Today we celebrate our precious daughter’s birthday who was born and entered heaven on this day 13 years ago.  Oh sweet Hannah, I miss you today.  I think of your precious little 18 week old frame.  Oh you were fearfully and wonderfully made!  You were absolutely beautiful!  It is a delight to imagine you in the presence of your Father, maybe dancing, maybe singing, and definitely worshiping God!  I love you honey, I am grateful to have had a few months with you here- what a joy!

Charlie is doing well.  He is very comfortable and healing nicely.  It seems that there are always alarms on the horizon…blood clots, fevers, infection, unusual leaking.  Thankfully none of these things have fully raised their heads as a problem, but seem to always loom.  You could pray for all of these things, that they would not come to be.  The next steps are to wean pain Meds, remove breathing tube, bowels to awaken, and successfully begin feeding.  There is some discussion as to when the heart fix will be best timed.

Thank you again to SO many of you praying for Charlie, we love you!
